Tongo prefers Rebel Yell.
Favorite but expensive: George T Stagg, with a rock or two.
Keep around the house: Maker's Mark
This is it.
Anyone ever had Glengoyne Scotch? My buddy and I are planning on hitting up that distillery next week.
You playing any golf over there?
Actually are trying to play the Old Course at St. Andrews. They have openings because its January, but you are reqiured to have a documented 24 handicap, which I've never formally done. We're planning to show up to the clubhouse to see if we can talk our way on.
Woodford, and I like it mixed with a mason jar and air.
I like the Speysides too, but prefer the Islays. My favorite right now is Ardbeg Uigeadail. I also bought a Highland that I really like (the wife too) ...Glenlivet Nadurra .
For scotch the best I ever had was Milton Duff Highland Malt Whiskey. I last found it in Maryland, but I cannot find it anymore. It's pretty rare. If anyone knows where I can find it, let me know.
Anyone ever tried Scapa? Its a 3 man operation up in the Orkneys. I've never tasted a smoother Scotch. I found it at the VA ABC a couple years ago, price was around $65/$70 if I recall.
Basil Hayden and ice. Sometimes a splash of ginger ale. Blantons, woodford and bulleit are also on hand at all times.
crown & cranberry is my normal. add a splash of peach snaps is good too. the red or old black crown(not the new stuff) on ice is a nice nightcap
I played there and they didnt ask for any documentation. If you' re into the history of the place you can always go on Sunday. Course is closed but you can walk around. Basically a public park on Sundays. Plenty of other great courses in the area too.
