Go take a look...
A UNC poster with a 100 rating kind of debunks the rumor.... Back to square one...
Welcome to the Terror Dome, baby! Welcome to the Terror Dome!
Did you hear Hoo got arrested? Thomas Jefferson would be proud!
"Informed sources tell us that North Carolina and Virginia could be headed to the Big Ten and that NC State and Virginia Tech could leave for the SEC..."
Just FYI, I've heard this multiple times as well. However, it goes further...
Duke or either Pitt or GT would be bundled as 17 / 18 (if they go that far)
Yes, yes - I know, Duke (?!?!?!) but they become the Northwestern of the East and keep the Duke / NC rivalry intact. Pitt will land in the B1G or Big 12... As will GT - one will go one way and one will go to the other.
EDIT for clarity:
So B1G gets UNC/UVa plus two of those three Duke, GT or Pitt... Honestly, I could see Duke going to the B1G. But I could also see them staying put in the ACC and taking GTown, UConn etc., and becoming a pseudo-Ivy and one helluva hoops conference. Part of the deal would be a football rivalry game with UNC and also non-con hoops games against UNC as well.
Then, Clemson, FSU, Miami and Louisville would move to the Big 12.
Wake, BC, UConn, Syracuse, Cinci (etc...) are firmly in no mans land. They reorg and become a new Big East. Or Pitt and GT and Duke could decide the the ACC is still a better bet than jumping ship and they all stay put as the best hoops conference in the land.
I do believe that between McDonnell and McCrory those guys will take care of all four teams.
ND as an official member of the ACC makes this all go away - like now. But after playing in the NC this year as an independent - why would they???

Do you mean Duke and GT will be #17 and #18? (Of the B1G?) Because MD and Rutgers are #13 and #14. UNC and UVA would be #15 and #16.

Unless these deals are announced on the same day then VT will find a home.
Both the BIG and SEC want a team in Virginia and UNC. Just who goes where is up for debate, UVA could get left out in the cold but VT will not.
As long as UVA doesn't get to the SEC then I am good.
The SECs number one target is Va Tech. Period.
