A post on TSL has #2 done due to injury concerns but remaining on scholarship. This has been expected, and I wish him well and don't blame him at all. As I understand it the scholarship won't count against the football numbers.
Wow really sucks really need Holland to make it now.
Respect with the Tech
Cole had an amazing interception in the Clemson game, but being able to hold your kids and grand kids means a lot more than a football game.
"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem" Ronald Regan
An amazing interceptioj bt wouldve been routine had he not been out of position in the first place. Nothing against the young man but its better for him. Football wasnt his strong suit
Have to disagree with your post. MC had shown a great improvememt over the season and always went all out. He showed no fear and i believe that he would have continued to develope into a very productive back.
Kind of an ass aren't you
He must have been doing something right he was good enough to get a major college football scholarship. Give the kid a break.
He and Bonner were both forced into action before they were ready. Having Hosley leave early for the NFL really hurt our depth.
I think it was a little early to predict what kind of player Cole would have turned into.
Once a Hokie, always a Hokie
I thought Michael improved pretty quick the more he played, IMO he was going to be very good, he's a smart guy. Remember last year he was only a redshirt freshman.
Hate to hear he can't play anymore, but I can definitely understand.
He has a great family around him, his parents are super nice people.
Out of position or not, absolutely no reason for this post.
There is a time and a place for almost everything. This comment qualifies as the category that never has a time or place. I'm willing to bet just about every person on this board would quit football if they had just one injury like Cole suffered that night.
Give me a Michael Cole every day of the week rather than some dumbass who leaves Blacksburg to try and kick start a rap career in California.
Right, a red shirt freshman getting playing time in a really good division 1 team's secondary. Must have really sucked at football..... What an ignorant post.
Dang. I saw big things. Definitely one of my favorite freshman this past year.
Agreed. Cole showed a lot of improvement throughout the year. People easily forget that he was a R-Fr. and was forced into playing because of Hosley's early departure and our need to play nickel full time. He showed a lot of potential and I for one am sorry to see him hang it up.
Best of luck to Michael Cole and I'm glad he got to walk away from this one. You don't wanna stay one injury too late.
I hate to hear that I could only imagine how he feels.. Glad he was able to walk away from this one.. It could have been much worse.
