When were they supposed to get their letter from the NCAA?
I've heard from a couple of their fans/alums that they may already have, but they're a private school, so who knows when things will be made public.
Cool.. I thought it would have been around now.
If they don't get it soon then I will be forced to send them one myself and I'm a lot tougher then the NCAA. Harrumph!
Here's the deal. A week ago news broke that the NOA could be presented to Miami within 72 hours. Reading through the article, that does not seem to be correct. The NCAA was supposed to meet Monday with two individuals that supposedly committed violations during the inquiry. Obviously, it is kind of impratical to think they could meet with the 2 people, close the investigation the next day and present the NOA the following day. Seems like they are very close.
As far as reporting receiving the NOA, being a private school, I am not sure if Miami is required to, but I think it is very likely that the NCAA will issue a statement within 24 hours of providing them the NOA, that they have in fact done so.
something's gotta be coming soon since Frank Haith news broke out today when he was coach of the U for basketball
Frank Haith is expected to be charged with unethical conduct and failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance as related to the NCAA's investigation into the Nevin Shapiro scandal. 3 of Haith's former assistant's at Miami are expected to also be hit with unethical conduct charges, plus another coach from the staff. These charges are related to the coaches providing recruits impermissible transportation, impermissible lodging as well as impermissible benefits.
They are probably deciding which wrist to slap. Seriously, after all the mess at UNC, only to see little to nothing done, anyone expecting major sanctions is kidding themselves.
Hope I am wrong, but we have seen this all too often from the NCAA.
Seriously a down vote for this? WOW
I got tagged to for providing the latest information reported by the associated press.
I guess there are some Canes or Heels on here that don't appreciate this stuff??? Oh well.
Thought I smelled something stanky.
And Alot of News out there on the UNCHEATS...but here is the lastest on our Canes !!
AP Sources: Ex-Miami Hurricane coaches know of allegations

College sports has to find a way to break away from the NCAA and come up with a different form of regulation. The NCAA is a complete joke, one in which you could make an AWESOME documentary on their corruption... Hmm.. I might do that.. Netflix here I come.
Miami notice of allegations could be pushed back months.
The NCAA has found an issue of improper conduct related to the investigation, and has ordered an external review of the enforcement progrom. Miami will not receive it's Notice of allegations until that review is complete.
This will probably be one of the many excuses on why the NCAA doesn't come down hard on Miami. Like I said above..fully expecting the slap on the wrist.
The NCAA national office has uncovered an issue of improper conduct within its enforcement program that occurred during the University of Miami investigation.

Finally, someone got it right. The NCA reminds me too much of a bunch of people who are only interested in perpetuating themselves.
