Awesome ... Hokie bball is the most cursed program in the country
@OX_VT on Twitter
I'll ask again: When does David Jackson ever get held accountable? Let's look at the major b-ball injuries over the last several years: Zo (foot), JT Thompson (knee x2), Raines (foot x2), Davila (groin), Wood (foot).
I played hoops. Sprained ankles, knees, and pulled hammies and groins happen. I know that there is a lot of stress on the lower body. But the amount of serious injuries this program seems to incur seems far above the national norm. There seems to me to be a clear problem on how we prepare our athletes to prepare for the stress.

Well if we're talking about basketball, Gentry is not the strength coach. It is David Jackson.
@RTD_MikeBarber: Virginia Tech freshman forward Marshall Wood suffered a fractured foot against Georgia Southern. It will not require surgery. #Hokies
Thanks. Did not know that. I'll edit my post.
I think Gentry possibly still oversees all of the strength programs though. Not positive on that..
I am no doctor, but I am not sure you can do much in the way of training to prevent a broken bone.
