Tween us, I don't think VTScoopstaff's last name is really scoopstaff.
I think he took his wife's name...
Wears her undergarments too. That's the word on the street.
Thank you Coach Sherman for your service to Virginia Tech! I wish you the best of luck at Purdue (if that is indeed where you are headed)
So if Sherman is leaving, can we assume an OC has been hired and decided to go in another direction at WR coach? I can't see why Sherman would be leaving otherwise...
Welcome to the Terror Dome, baby! Welcome to the Terror Dome!
That is what I would assume too, but if the new guy is Pep, he went back to Cali after the Coaches Covention. One would think if it was his decision he would've met with Sherm in person before going in a different direction. Unless of course he already has someone for WRs in mind.
I never met Sherm but heard he was from radford I think hate it for him not being able to finish his carreer at home. Good luck to him.
Well all of this Purdue stuff popped up before the convention. I'm thinking (hoping....) a lot of this has already been in place longer than the convention this past weekend.
But if we can unofficially confirm that Sherman is gone, then I don't see how he leaves unless he know he's not being retained. And I can't see how he knows that unless the new OC has told him he is bringing in his own WR coach.
There is no place for logic on this board.
Definitely gonna miss Sherman, unfortunate that his career path didn't bring him with the new OC. He'll do well anywhere he ends up, though.
Damn hate to hear that.
Did you hear Hoo got arrested? Thomas Jefferson would be proud!
Agree... He seems like a real stand up guy... And definitely one of the better offensive coaches we had. How are his WR's taking it?
This is bad news. Sherm will be missed . I wish him nothing but the best in his move to Purdue.
From a sheer coaching/player production standpoint he probably deserved to stay over any other offensive coach on the staff...including Shane or Stiney.
Rough business an it's sad it didn't work out for him but the new OC has to have some say on staff choices and Stiney and Shane's recruiting is too valuable.
He did a great deal for VT football. Best of luck too him In the Big 10!
I wish the best to all of the coaches leaving. I know they tried their best while they were here.
Being nice and likable is good but you have to get the job done in the end.
