OMGGGG!! Not good!! Wait, I still don't know what we are talking about....
Res ipsa loquitur...Let the good times roll
He just quoted a piece of the article from www.thekeyplay.com. Go there to read the entire article. It's a pretty good analysis of the game on Saturday and it praises Laurence Gibson (which is the part he quoted on Facebook). Basically says he's going to be a good one next year.
Sounds good, because we need some OTs to be ready in 2013. I was glad he moved back out there, he's got the tools to be very good. Shuman looks like he is starting to progress too.
That is interesting...
Ouch CZY, ouch.
TKP is pretty terrible "analysis" and I hate the all caps. I'd rather click a 50% off Nike link than that garbage.
Did you hear Hoo got arrested? Thomas Jefferson would be proud!
I sense maybe he feels like he might not be getting the love he deserves.....
French60wasp has probably the best analysis ive read..in the analysis, he actually shows you to plays (from youtube) when he's breaking it down...i love reading raleigh's, shabutie's and french's breakdowns...GMSA is good also......
Are you implying you do not agree with TKP's assessment?
Uh oh, maybe I spoke too soon.
i agree. French's analysis is probably the best I've read considering he played OL and understands the schemes we run and other teams run.
For my 2 cents, I think the guy (French) is dead-on with regards to the OLine. Wang has been disappointing in both games. If he is going to continue to play he needs to step it up, big time. Miller has not played a great game yet either but I'll concede that he is playing injured. Benedict looked "special" against AP. Gibson was very solid in his 10 plays or so. Arkema is not yet ready. Farris actually blocked pretty well. He just had trouble with a few snaps. I need to go back and review the tape again on Shuman. I didn't pay attention to him.
I think our best line going forward would be (L to R) Becton, Via, Miller, Benedict, Painter.
Agreed. Very detailed.
Like the fact that he's a former OL and knows what he's talking about.
This is Gibson's third year in the system, he enrolled January 2010. If he isn't getting it, and Shuman isn't getting it, and it took Painter 5 years to get it, then the system and coach both suck.
It would help if we could settle on what type of O we are going to have. I don't know who is calling the shots but if it's a committee then I understand. Not saying the coach is a winner just saying they need to make up their minds and then go do it.
I take about a thousand photos every week and when i review them i see a lot of things that go unnoticed when watching live. i see pancakes, holds, lack of involvement and sometimes the occasional booger picker. I think Becton has been playing great. Benedict has some really solid blocks in the run game; which brings me to my point: i think our line is similar to Green Bays line or even New Orleans. Some guys are just better at backing up and some are better at moving forward. It could be just what we practice the most or techniques that we teach but one thing that i do not see a lot of that i wish we would do more of is stunts. I rarely see us pull a guard or tackle out in front and around the end. it always seems that we just have everyone drive straight forward.
