Please look at all the comments on twitter from players around the country, including tons of current and former VT players. They love all of the Oregon unis, kids want different unis, even if we as fans hate some of them.

Yeah I've been reading a lot of the comments...
This is Aaron Rouse's tweet
@A757R: #Oregon giving all those h.s. seniors they recruiting something to think about! #uniforms DAMN!
And even though a lot of our fans didn't like them, our black pro combats got an overwhelmingly positive reaction from the rest of the country. I still have fans of other teams tell me how much they loved those.
Those Oregon uni's were bad ass!
There's a huge difference between our alternate uniforms and Oregon's though. Their's look bad ass and awesome while ours look like shit.
it should almost be a recruiting violation with as much nike bling those players get for free
The helmets Oregon wore in last years Rose Bowl were sweet. The ones with the chrome stripe.
Our black ones were sick, and our white pro combats were sick. Either way players have loved almost all our unis, except for the awful helmets this year. What we think and what they think may be different.
@DavidClowney: Damn I hope my Lil Brother Commits to Oregon so I can add 2 or 3 of there helmets with my NFL helmets!!
What happened to the concept helmet CZY uses as his sig? That helmet is sweet. I wish we would break that one out this yr.
bottom line is this trend is not going away. Oregon (and even Maryland) have the easy access and can play with house money. VT has been at the forefront of this, but unfortunately Frank is living in the past with our current main uniforms. Hate em.
The black pro combat that were wore at Fed Ex were badass....I just can't look at them too long because it makes me remember the sad outcome of that game......
I hope David isn't serious. Would he steer his brother away from us?
Black helmet could be nice!
All the more reason to write a better history with them. Those are my all-time favorites, but I was there for the heartbreaker.
Was skeptical when they announced the black pro combats, as I am partial to our colors, but when I got to the game and saw them, I loved them. White pro combats were nice too.
A lot of Oregon fans weren't happy either but as long as players like changing it up, I'm for it.
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Texas, USC, Ohio State, Oklahoma...
Teams that have won the BCS the last 10 years, recruit well, and have boring uniforms.
LOL sorry but this is crazy talk, these are very historic programs and they have A LOT to sell including their tradition. Oregon's model makes sense for an up-and-coming team.
Here lies an problem with VT, we can leverage our success over recent years all we like, but we are still a relative newbie on the national scene and should remember that.
Crazy talk? Name me a team that has won the BCS with these hyped unis? I would agree with you latter statement if this were 2000...but its 2012 and we are no longer a 'newbie'. Put me down as someone that thinks good coaching and infrastructure (athletic and academic facilities and support) is more important than having swag unis.
yeah ofcourse unis don't win it for you, but if it gives your program a better image and swings a player or 2 every few years, then it's worth it. Why not have badass unis?
