Frankly, I see this as cherry picking time for the Big and SEC with the Big12 not far behind.UNC,UVA,and GT view the Big as a solid fb conference and an accademic frontrunner. It may be whyVT made contact with them also, but we do not have the credentials that the other schools do.
This is why we should pop in the afterburners with the SEC. Even then it may be that we have to wait on decisions from UVA before being heavily considered. I don't have any idea how the SEC would view UVA as opposed to us. We cannot afford to screw this up .
I find Rangers post a little unsettling. I could see Delaney bluff with FSU to draw Slive to make an offer. Then Delaney takes UVA and UNC. Sounds like Slive values N Carolina over Virginia so he picks up NC State. This gives Delaney complete control of DC metro. A VT in the Big 12 is not even a threat. Or FSU & GT go Big then SEC picks up UVA and UNC. Not liking this FSU angle one bit. Florida & Georgia would be more valuable to the Big 10 then Virginia & North Carolina. It sucks the ACC crapped the bed in football cause this ish is going to give me a heart attack. I wish they would go to 24 teams with 4 pods of 6. I think multiple teams from the same state strengthens the network so it stands on its own two feet and doesn't need to be bundled with others sports networks. Someone posted a scenario on the rumors board. SEC takes both VA schools, two from NC, GT, Clemson, FSU, two from OK, and TX. Not gonna happen, bug me and millions more would pay a premium for that network. Maybe spread over a couple of channels.
