to delete this if it needs to be. A poster on tos just commented that he halted all financial donations ( an a very large one at that ) to the program until he feels that the football program is as important as his financial donations. He emailed this letter at halftime.
Unfortunately this kind of thing will need to happen, and if the brass at Tech chooses to ignore it, then they will have obviously shown their hand. We fans pump money into the program(some give a sizable amount), and thus we are the share holders and deserve to reap the profits; college football is changing and it is time to start treating this program like a company rather than a clubhouse. I can't stand Saban, but the man just gets it, and I believe that against all odds there is a way to still run a successful program without selling our souls! Come on Weaver, Beamer, etc. get it done!
He's not the only big donor to put a halt to their donations, I feel things could get ugly in the off season if things stay the course.
THE ONLY THING I'M ADDICTED TO IS WINNING--CHARLIE SHEEN
I saw that. Not sure I believe it, but if true... well it'll definitely end up with a phone call by Beamer to the guy on Monday.
Of course he could just be blowing smoke...
I can stnad when people say this stuff. They arent getting anymore of my money or we need to show them by not going to the games blah blah blah. I hope this is like when you drink way to much and the next morning you say i am never drinking again.
For any hokie to turn his or her back on their university over a bad (and i know its been bad, i broke two remotes yesterday) football season is crazy.
Ill be in chapel hill next weekend and i would be there if we were 0-5. It looks like not only the football team has gone soft but so called hokie fan have as well. Hope to see you all in chapel hill
"Turn his back on their university.."? Really? You've got coaches making several hundred thousand dollars a year for doing what? Not preparing this team? Or how about not being held accountable? By holding on to his close friends and refusing to make glaringly necessary changes, CFB is effectively telling the Hokie Nation "My friendships are more important than this football program." IMO, CFB has turned "HIS BACK" on us!
Franky just says, ''you're outta whack", if you start talking about his boys in a negative way.
Seats didn't seem to quite match the donation level; I wondered about the validity
Agree...these coaches are very well paid and have a job to do and there has been no accountability on the offensive side of the ball...withholding $$$$ is the only way to make the admin pay any attention. For years our offensive output has been an absolute joke. I do not believe for one second that we have inferior athletes...in fact I think we more talent at just about every position than any team we play. (if we didn't we could have never kept the 10 wins going with our scheme)
I assume that Stiney googles for a new offensive system each Sunday and tries to impliment it on Monday. I was embarrassed when the graphic Saturday stated that we run a "Multiple" offense. We run a "FrankenStiney" offense made up of parts of other offenses in the attempt to rise a dead body...I guess we just need a bolt of lightning....
