Spent his $470 Best Buy gift card on 3 kids. Things you never hear about.
just saw on twitter, pretty awesome thing to do. Hope he stays for his senior year.
Who are the kids?
Just random kids that he met
Tone is comfortable, damn glad to see him give back, respect +1

convo bt exum and tariq a little while ago
i just sent this story and pics to the Huffington Post. they always publish inspiring sports stories unlike most mainstream media outlets that just cover failed drug tests etc. lets hope that they publish the story so that he can get a little more recognition for such a great act.
And the story just hit deadspin
I'll get killed for this, but I'd have a lot more respect for him had he done it without announcing it to the world. That said, still an awesome thing to do for those kids and that's what ultimately matters.
I agree with your post in theory but all he did was post on his Twitter (he didn't pursue media attention). If he hadn't tweeted it, you wouldn't have more respect for him because in all likelihood what he did with his Best Buy gift card would never cross your mind.
Kids tweet when they go the bathroom and everything else. Just because he tweets about a good act on his part doesn't mean he's bragging to the world.
Fair enough. I won't go back and forth about it. It's certainly a kind deed on his part.
Really proud of Exum. Very mature young man. Understands Christmas in the best way.
another way to look at it, is that his generosity might inspire others to do the same during the season of giving. just sayin.
by showing people what he did it can be an example to others. maybe some more players will do similar things now that they have the idea. every time someone does good there is always someone that is going to downplay it.
Our site's editor retweeted this pic earlier. Great kid you guys got.
With all the negative things that get promoted these days it's nice to see someone announce they are doing something good clean and wholesome. He can brag about that all he wants in my book. More of these kind of good things need to be happening.
Great team guy.
He moved to corner not because it was going to be easy but because the team needed him to and he was beat up all year. He ended up getting better and better each weak and being a really good CB by the end of the year.
He is a team guy and also apparently a really great person off the field as well.
Really happy for him and I wish him the absolute best!
