I just find it odd that if the kid "dropped the ball" that Shuman would say that he did everything he was suppose to do and is now supporting the kid calling other schools if that was the case. Like I've said before this wouldn't happen at Alabama or LSU. I'm sure they have people to hold the kid's hand throughout the process to make sure something like this doesn't happen. I think VT at least owes him that especially since he's stayed true to VT while at prep school. It's just another example of the backwardness of our program and the glaring need to "invent the future" when it comes to things like this.
I love how Shuman goes out of his way to keep the hoo recruits to stick with UV even after their recruiting coaches were fired, but a paperwork snafu at VT and all sudden he "has no problem" with them reopening his commitment.
Can a guru shed some light on why Shuman is screwing VT over and is BFF with London?

Who says Shuman is screwing over VT? you mean the same Shuman that sent both his sons to VT to play football? Shuman is a stand-up person and has done a lot for VT. He also runs a clean program and does what he can to look out for the best interest of the kids that play for him
The only people that can say exactly what the "paperwork error" is, is Drew and his family, and they're not saying.
If the kid wants to make a rash decision and go to another school, so be it. I hope he he wants to remain a Hokie but if he doesn't... oh well. No need to scream at gurus and throw the VT Admin department under the buss.

I have to disagree here. Aren't they different situations? Shuman always wants a kid to stick to the plan. But if he thought that Harris could get into another school in Jan, and maybe VT won't work out, then why wouldn't he be ok with Harris looking around?
I found that quote rather....disappointing and hoping there was more context to it. The whole situation smells. I doubt VTwas an issue
