FYI - Holland Fischer IS a 5 start guy (it is just that we are ahead of the rest of the world).
I have a feeling that in a couple of years no one will remember Kirven.
Hey, thought I'd chime in since Michigan has been a constant in Hand's top group. How are you all feeling about your chances? From what I've seen, you guys are ahead of the pack. It may very well come down to VT/Michigan given the strong engineering programs of each school, although VT staff has the "close to home" advantage working for them.
Hand seems like a very bright kid who has really done his homework on all the schools that have offered him.. His favorite recruiter is Bud, and the general consensus is we are in very good position early, but this time next year I hope he is on our commit list. Anything can happen though.
THE ONLY THING I'M ADDICTED TO IS WINNING--CHARLIE SHEEN
What bothers me is that his favorite staff is Michigan. Who would you rather play for, your favorite recruiter or your favorite staff?
But,you also have to factor in his overall familiarity with the program and location which favors VT. The more times VT can get him on campus(Spring game, camps, actual games, etc),the higher the odds that he ends up there in the end. VT has a lot working in their favor with Hand.
Exactly. From what I've read, Hand only plans to visit Michigan once in the spring, once in the summer, and once for an OV. That's not a whole lot of time to acquaint himself with the area, whereas he can head to VT whenever he pleases. Hopefully one of our schools lands him, because the last thing I'd want to see is another consensus #1 player head to the SEC

He's a big recruit if anything to just keep talent like that in-state.
Defense starts with controlling the line, getting pressure and controlling the edge.
Hand is visiting for the spring game right? Any chance we can get him on campus before that?
Probably Junior day
I absolutely hate to say it but I have a feeling Kirven will be "processed" by Bama in a year or two. I hope I am wrong.
looks like Kirven was moved to DE, thought he was a DT
Bama runs a 3-4. There are no DTs. Only NGs and DEs.
Traditionally the defensive line IS where we struggle to bring in talent. I also doubthe will be as good as Jadaveon...they just don't make em like thatevery year. I doubt hand will change the program any more than Kevin Jones did...which was not at all.
Don't agree with that. He wanted Holland Fisher and said he could be the next Mark Barron. Look where that got him. On the outside looking in.
