I know there was speculation that Leal might look elsewhere if Logan came back, but I have not heard anything more. Anyone have any insight? I hope he sticks around as I think he has a lot of promise and we will need him if Logan gets hurt.
one of my friends knows him well and he said that leal said he was going to stay.........
They also said we won't know anything until the spring
I know Leal was probably damn excited about the possibility of taking over this year, and I'm sure not being able to do so was very frustrating for him. But, I think we all gonna be damn excited to see him starting at QB in 2014, and while I understand that is not a given, I am guessing it is extrememly likely.
Fifth year senior Leal versus redshirt freshman Hodges or redshirt sophomore Motley could be the difference between an ACC Chip and a low tier bowl game.
If Leal had gotten any real qualtiy-time experience in the clean up role the last couple of years, I'd have said that there was no real chance for Hodges/Parker/Motely to beat him out. Even so, one of those three is really going to have to impress to beat him out in 2014 IMHO.
Depending on Grimes' ability to coach up the OL we have and to recruit they ready-for-FBS OL we've missed in the past, the team around Leal could be LOADED for 2014.
Yep. Leal may only get one year, but it might be a whale of a year!
He will likely lead VT against Ohio State in 2014. That will be some game! Then,Bucky,Parker,or Park/Cornwell may be the starting QB in 2015 as Ohio State visits Lane Stadium.
OSU had the #2 class behind Bama, so we'll play the best.
