If hired, you guys thunk SL would be easy for Alabama to prepare for, for our next game in ATL next season?
Remember, he also didn't really have the right personnel for his offense though, and seemed like he got undercut by Chizik quite a bit.
On the other hand, shouldn't he have known before he took the job, that Auburn wasn't a good "fit" for him? These are all measuring points about his judgment. What say you all?
In college football, it's not about the X's and the O' s, it really is about the jimmys and the joes

I would say not because he was probably limited on what he could do because of personnel. He is probably drooling to work with LT. How quickly the o line gets re built is the key to that game. I think bud can keep bama contained.
I'm slowly coming around to the Loefller idea. He seems like a good coach although he had a very bad year at Auburn which probably was out of his control. Either way he also seems like a good recruiter. More importantly would be who he brings with him. If he adds Jeff Grimes (Former Auburn OL Coach) I would be excited about the hire. He can recruit and this coupled with us having Shane who has good ties to SC and GA and Torrian's ties to FL we could definitely start to reach more into SEC territory for recruits.
1. He knows Bama
2. None of us know the potential of our offense with a top flight OC
I agree on the first point...
Related to the bud comment... Bud could have sent 7 Mack trucks and 4 F-18 fighters on the field against bama in the NC game and wouldn't have contained them... Our D's have started slow the last couple of year (with good reasons as to why, injuries, youth, etc.), and the last thing we can afford is to start slow. Regardless of the OC coming in, we should all be concerned about the opener... Keep it respectable, play smart, and we do have a chance to win, for sure. But this one is stacked against the good guys.

I think we're going to have rotate our Dlinemen every 3rd series and we can't have players there (*cough* JR Collins) losing weight during the offseason

It is about x's and o's and not just about jimmys and joes. Look at dumbo at clemson for example. Top recruits go there and they have yet to win a bcs game and loses to their in state rival each year. I would rather have Loeffler than Joker (if hes involved). Reason is because he was a decent OC but a terrible head coach. Yeah kentucky didnt have much, but the coach before him won on occasion
