Just depends on how good the ACC will be in future. Some have give up on it. Myself at times. You go to SEC could be fools gold to.
Best case scenario is the Notre Dame becomes a full member in the ACC and all the expansion talk will come to a complete halt. VT should just lay low and see where this thing heads. We are a big enough brand now that we won't be left out in the cold no matter what. With all this talk about a move to the SEC ( and I know some of us find this hard to believe ) but more encompasses that than just football and AD's don't make these kind of decisions.
But that's kind of the point, the fact that it'd dependent on the ACC is the risk, and that risk is lower than the SEC regardless.
SEC = More money, guaranteed importance
ACC = Less money, unclear future (although most likely safe), less competitive
If you line it up like that it's a no brainer. If VT officials outside of athletics have not been able to see how much our academics have improved since Vick and the rise of VT football, or if they just ignore the correlation, they are blind.

10 years from now with all the Concussion scare football may take a hit. Already you have the panises of the world pusshing soccer. As long as VT is safe I will be ok.
Is that like a combo of penises and pansies?!
