College Prep World is pleased to announce that on July 7th and 8th we are conducting our 1st annual High School Football Camp and Academic Symposium. The camp will be held at Woodbridge High School, starting at 9 am on Saturday. The purpose of the symposium is to assist high school student athletes and their families in making informed decisions. In addition we will be focusing on improving football skills and overall player development.

Da' Shawn Hand, Andrew Brown, and other top prospects from Ocean Lakes, Oscar Smith, Potomac HS, Greenrun High School, Damascus HS(MD) and Lake Taylor will be in attendance as well as others. If you live in the Northern VA area or surrounding areas and would like to attend, please feel free to come by Woodbridge HS. The cost is $5 per per person for the public.

We will focus on preparing student athletes for the importance of developing a transitional plan for “life after playing football”, the recruiting experience including the NCAA rules governing recruiting procedures and academic criteria needed for athletic scholarships. In addition we will also be conducting workshops on the demands of college student-athletes, college life including social environment as well as appropriate ways to interact with media (i.e. teaching appropriate interviewing skills).

Keion Carpenter - Former standout safety for Virginia Tech, Buffalo Bills, and Atlanta Falcons. Also Founder and CEO of Carpenter House.

Todd Washington - Former standout offensive linemen for Virginia Tech, Tampa Bucs and Houston Texans. Current Baltimore Ravens Assistant Offensive Linemen Coach.

Derek Smith- Former standout offensive linemen for Virginia Tech and Washington Redskins. Current high school football coach at Oakton High School.

Elton Brown - Former standout offensive linemen for the University of Virginia and Arizona Cardinals. Founder of 1st and Goal Mentoring Program.

Tavon Mason – Former standout wide receiver and kick returner for the University of Virginia and NY Jets.

Scorpio Brown –Former standout wide receiver for Hampton University and current football player for the Arena Football League Harrisburg Stampede.

Steve Harris -Former standout wide receiver for University of Arkansas and Washington Redskins.

Shawn Scales- Former standout wide receiver for Virginia Tech

J.J. McQueen -Former standout wide receiver and basketball player for East Carolina University and Founder of Goal Line Media Productions.

Ken Oxendine- Former standout running back for Virginia Tech and Atlanta Flacons
