Defensive tackle Alston Smith almost certainly will redshirt this season, but his future is bright at Virginia Tech.

Weird that the son of probably the best all time player at VT has kind of flown under the radar, but I believe Alston will make his own name at VT and leave his own legacy. You can never have too many stout DT's and I'm glad he is here.
