The nation's No. 1 overall prospect, Da'Shawn Hand, says that Virginia Tech's Bud Foster is his favorite recruiter.
The nation’s No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2014, defensive end Da’Shawn Hand (Woodbridge, Va.) has some schools and one recruiter in particular that are currently standing out to him.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Hand wanted to update his 247Sports profile and made the following request about his school interests on Thursday afternoon.
“Put Virginia Tech at warm,” Hand said. “Also, put Ohio State, UNC, Clemson, USC, Alabama and Michigan at warm. Put the rest at cool.”
Hand also made a comment about one of his recruiters early in the process.
“You can put it out that Bud Foster is my favorite recruiter so far out of all of the coaches recruiting me,” Hand said.
Hand has visited Virginia Tech twice, along with Virginia and North Carolina and plans to visit Ohio State and Alabama this month, in addition to taking part in The Opening next week in Beaverton, Ore.

I feel the Bucks and the Hoakies will be in a dog fight with getting this kid to commit. As much as Meyer emphasizes the DL, but in the end, with Hands comment, it may be VT. I feel he will elect to stay home. He is not a need persay for the Buckeyes, but definately a luxury. Meyer has had a nice recruiting haul on the DL last year and so far this year.
