Kendall Fuller

Five-star cornerback Kendall Fuller became commitment No. 15 for Virginia Tech on Saturday.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.- Virginia Tech has landed one of its biggest targets for the 2013 recruiting cycle as five-star cornerback Kendall Fuller (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) committed to the Hokies over Clemson during an announcement on ESPN3 live from Gridiron Kings.

Fuller, the younger brother of Virginia Tech All-American candidate Kyle Fuller and receiver Corey Fuller, was recruited by Kevin Sherman and Torian Gray for the Hokies. He had nearly 50 scholarship offers before it came down to the two Atlantic Coast Conference rivals. Michigan and Tennessee also were in the mix behind Virginia Tech and Clemson.

Fuller told ESPN.com that he informed his mother of his decision Thursday and that he doesn't know if he will take official visits or not, that he will have to discuss that with the Virginia Tech coaches.

Fuller is commitment No. 15 for Virginia Tech in the 2013 class and the first from the state of Maryland.
