Virginia Tech freshman Deon Clarke checked in at 6-foot-3, 214 pounds and has the frame and athleticism to have a big career in Blacksburg. The Class of 2012 Top247 prospect participated in his first practice as a Hokie on Tuesday night in Blacksburg.

This guy is going to be an all-time Virginia Tech great before he leaves. Loved watching this guy in the 804. Best linebacker I've seen since I lived here. He's explosive-- like a heat seeking missile.

I thinks its possible. Physically he will be ready. With our LB corp,like most for that matter,its about assignments. If he grasps this quickly,hes gonna hit the scene quick
